People have come to rely on our standards for earth-friendly practices for herbal supplements. We prepare our black cohosh from the rhizome with rootlet of actaea racemosa plants which are certified organically grown on our own farm or in eastern kentucky. To assure optimal extraction of black cohosh’s isoflavones and other bioactive compounds, the rhizome with rootlet is hand-dug only in autumn and spring, then carefully shade-dried and thoroughly extracted.
